OW OW OW.
DAMMIT BRAIN, YOU STAY IN THERE. OW.
Selim? SELIM??! How can Pride be SELIM?! Before I even read this chapter, someone on a forum mentioned this in a spoiler post, and I thought they were making a joke! But now I read and here's Selim......suddenly looking all evil and being all like, "Wa ha, you can't do anything to me, lieutenant, you suck." WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE?! So does Pride just have some weird obsession with Ed, or was that all just an act to keep up his boyish facade?!
I mean, I guess it makes sense if you consider that the higher-ups wouldn't want just any old child to be Bradley's "son". But still! At first I always thought, "Man, that poor wife and child, having to live with a Homunculus," but now it's just, "Man, that poor wife!" Unless she's in on it too somehow and they're all just one big evil family. Jeeeeeez, Arakawa, you truely are the queen of 'WTF plot-twists'. You seriously make my brain hurt. In a good way.
On a nicer note, Ed's little freak-out session in the beginning of the chapter was so cute~ (but I couldn't figure out what the hell he was saying!) I'm a little ashamed that Arakawa went and threw in the corny gesture where Winry looks off to the side and says to herself, "How did I fall in love with such a strange guy?", but I'll forgive her this time. Also, Kimbley in uber-polite mode is silly. And Buccaneer wins for being a totally macho geek.
